The Elysium staff meets every Wednesday after school from October until May. The staff is responsible for procuring submissions, selecting the best of art and literature, and collectively matching literature to art.  Each staff member creates at least 2 spreads while the editors fashion introductory pages, create a table of contents, add pagination, and select the cover. The last step consists of arduous proof-reading, making sure that the magazine is printer-ready.

Once the magazine arrives back from the printers in late May, the staff distributes 200 copies of the magazine, free of charge, to students lined up outside the door, first-come-first-served. 50 copies are reserved for artists and writers who have been published and any interested faculty or administrator.

In June the staff hosts a gala at Books and Books in Coral Gables that includes readings, art talks, music, and refreshments. The general public is invited.
